Physicist turned quantitative consultant. Since September 2026 I’ve been a Senior Consultant in Credit Risk at Prometeia. Beforehand, I spent six years specialising in the development and characterisation of silicon-photomultiplier (SiPM) photodetectors: from 2020 I worked on single-photon Cherenkov imaging for the particle identification (PID) of the dual-radiator RICH (dRICH) of ePIC at the Electron-Ion Collider — with the Bologna group I assembled, tested and brought into operation the 2048-channel SiPM readout plane of the dRICH prototype, and through the analysis of four CERN beam tests demonstrated its operability at −30 °C in beam. I paired that research with physics tutoring and outreach throughout.
Fisico passato alla consulenza quantitativa. Da settembre 2026 sono Senior Consultant in Credit Risk presso Prometeia. In precedenza, per sei anni mi sono specializzato nello sviluppo e nella caratterizzazione di fotorivelatori al silicio (SiPM): dal 2020 ho lavorato all’imaging di singoli fotoni Cherenkov per la particle identification (PID) del dual-radiator RICH (dRICH) di ePIC all’Electron-Ion Collider — assieme al gruppo di Bologna ho assemblato, testato e portato in operazione il piano di fotorivelazione a SiPM (2048 canali) del prototipo dRICH e, analizzando i dati di quattro beam test al CERN, ne ho dimostrato la fattibilità operativa a −30 °C su fascio. Ho affiancato alla ricerca il tutoraggio di fisica e la terza missione.

- Built and maintained the SiPM characterisation lab (IV, DCR, PDE, timing before/after irradiation and annealing) and its largely automated measurement + analysis pipeline, still in use at INFN Bologna.
- Proposed and independently ran a dedicated measurement of SiPM activation energy after irradiation and annealing (publication in preparation); ran a multi-facility irradiation campaign (gamma, proton, neutron) with direct and indirect annealing strategies.
