Physics & maths tutor — high school

I’ve been tutoring physics and mathematics to high school students since 2010, mostly liceo scientifico students preparing for the maturità and the early university transition.

My approach is to find where the student’s mental model actually breaks — not where the textbook says it should — and rebuild from there. Lessons mix worked problems, short conceptual checks, and the occasional “let’s derive it from scratch” detour when a formula has been memorised but never understood.

Over the years I’ve worked with students across the full range, from “I’m worried I’ll fail” to “I’m preparing for the physics olympiad.” The fun part of the job is the moment a tough idea finally clicks for a specific student.
